Cascade Head was almost converted into a luxury home subdivision in the 60s, but was eventually preserved thanks to a dedicated group of grassroots volunteers, and is now Oregon’s only UNESCO Biosphere Reserve!

Any time of year, this is a magnificent respite for existing in crazy times.
