A Forest Park Song: North Unit 🎶🌲
Need a (relatively) dry hike to rock this winter weekend? Forest Park’s northern unit is a solitary haven, perfect for a head-clearing, misty woods walk. It’s a vital connecting link in the wildlife corridor to the coast range mountains, and you can really feel the stillness out here, especially on a cloud-socked winter day. 🌲☁️ I
I started at the Wildwood Trailhead on Newberry Road, went in a couple miles to Firelane 15 and headed back, for a trek of four miles. This walk won’t replace your therapist, but odds are you’ll be in a calm, contemplative headspace by the end. Remember to get outside during these dark months! 🥾 Thanks to my incredible partner, Molly Preston, for bringing those sweet harmonies!
